In this world there only existed female monsters.
These monsters were also divided by 2 types.
One being a pure monster which looks extremely ferocious and has powerful strength while having low intelligence and the other looking like a human but possessing monster like traits on their bodies with high intelligence.
Almost every single one of them live in the center of the continent called the penta region, there they are further divided by the species of monsters they are, inhabiting several areas, those in power are also usually only those who have high intelligence meaning that pure monsters don’t really have much say even among their own kind because of their low intelligence that generally makes them no different from wild beasts.
And in reality calling them wild beasts or just monsters is fine as well since they are considered as such by almost everyone, they even mate with male animals to reproduce which is how they continued their lineage in this world for so long.
Switching towards the other kind of monster the half human monsters, they are almost no different from humans in terms of intellect other then having strange animalistic instincts or traits.
My father once explained to me that only us humans call them half human monsters or half-monsters, they themselves actually don’t refer themselves as such as over the course of time their culture had evolved significantly just like us humans which is why they started to use a new word to refer to themselves as they didn’t like the old one which brought many kinds of bad connotations.
This word was Demi-human.
Still keeping the word human in their name but simply adding the word demi in front, they were able to successfully differentiate themselves while not associating their origins with true monsters.
Overall my father even said that Demi-humans are a friendly bunch when you get to know them, but since we had never stopped warring against them for the past hundreds of years we never got to talk like equals and probably never would as the continued survival of one side depended on this precious resource called “Males” they are all fighting for.
I personally didn’t like conflict, war or any of that stuff, but I still understood why those happen and why they were sometimes necessary.
Going back to the original topic.
Demi-human society is very basic, only the strongest, wisest or most accomplished are allowed to rule, there does not exist such thing as seniority or service within their midst, if it did we probably wouldn’t be fighting them for so long without a clear outcome since their society was a pure meritocracy based on pure ability.
Atop of this structure there are 12 individuals who rule the Demi-human’s within the penta region those are the strongest, wisest and most accomplished individuals the Demi-human race has to offer aptly called the 12 Queens of Penta.
These 12 individuals rule the region together deciding on all with each other 1 ruler after all is not enough to fight off 5 different kingdoms on all fronts controlling the Demi-humans also requires a lot of manpower and authority which the 12 queens possess as they all come from different areas of their region being able to united the Demi-humans as one.
Going further down the scale most of the things within their society is very similar to how other local governments do their thing, officials, government workers and laborers they all make up this very tight structure that is the penta region with every single one of them being able to climb the ladder to become a queen if they demonstrate their ability.
Human males are also a big part of Demi-human society as without them they wouldn’t be able to reproduce.
How they gain those human males is through 2 methods which is 1 through capturing them and 2 birthing them themselves as demi-humans are capable of birthing pure human males, but from what I had heard from my father it seems as if the chance of a pure human male being born from a demi-human is worse then humans doing it themselves which is 1 in 10.
Because of this males are generally procured through kidnapping then through birth, in general I heard numerous news of human bandits kidnapping males to sell them to the demi-humans for extreme amounts of profit, since the penta region is the biggest place within the continent and also the one with the most resources it is easy for the demi-humans to offer such high amount of rewards for greedy humans who don’t care about the well being of their own kind, in the past humans tried a similar method to entice the demi-humans but all attempts had failed as it was proven that the demi-humans were far more united compared to the humans.
Furthermore, I had also heard about the Demi-humans sometimes going into the human kingdoms themselves to get those males, a prince of the neighboring country for example was once taken that way by one of the 12 queens who took a shine on him, the buzz around this incident was enormous that I remembered it to this day as it happened over 8 years ago when I was only 6 years old.
And in regards to how demi-humans treated those captured human males.
My father told me that they treat them quite well describing in vivid details as he was once a captive of the demi-humans when he was younger.
Hearing his side of the story made quite a bit more relieved about the demi-humans at the time as the kingdoms usually make quite a bit of racket everyday with their propaganda to demonify the demi-humans to make the public hate them, they especially target males so they would never even approach a demi-human saying things like “They would eat them after viciously gang raping them one after another” or “torture them while having sex until that person died” either of which was a horrifying image to behold.
And since males don’t have much interaction with demi-humans other then these vague stories told by the government which are laid as facts no wonder males are scared of demi-humans.
In reality things are much different, or at least they were different from my father who was captured when he was riding on a carriage back home.
At the time my father was alone with strangers while wearing a disguise to protect himself, my mothers weren’t around him at the time to protect him as there were some circumstances that lead to father needing to go alone.
Anyways, it was at that time that bad luck struck and a raiding party comprised of demi-humans assaulted the carriage which had mercenaries tagging along as protection.
The place they were at, at the time was very close to the front lines where the war was situated between the demi-humans and the humans, our Ravenguard estate in fact is also close to that front line but far enough that they would never reach us if they don’t invade in mass, it was my father who chose this spot for his family as this way it would allow his wives who were all very physically able to easily find work as combatants for hire which eventually lead to them gaining a peerage permanently cementing our position as nobles in this place.
Going back to the raid, the human mercenaries didn’t even last a second before being overwhelmed by the demi-humans, my father said they were not only overwhelmed but out matched as well as every single one of those demi-humans possessed some inhumane strength and technique that allowed them to minimally injure the humans causing less death and more prisoners.
When they were all rounded up and captured it was then that father was found out to be a male when his disguise was removed, since my father was considered quite beautiful in the standards of this world, the demi-humans were immediately charmed and even decided that they would only take him while leaving the rest so they could quickly run away our father without any sort of burden.
For the people at the time they were quite blessed that they wouldn’t be taken, as being taken usually meant slavery which both sides practiced.
My father on the other hand was not so lucky as he was brought away with lightning speed towards the penta-region where who knows what would await him.
My father even admitted to being quite scared as he used to believe in the propaganda the kingdom regularly fed to its citizens about the demi-humans.
It was only after he was captured that he realized it wasn’t actually like that at all.
First of all, one thing to note here was that his captors the entire time they carried him didn’t once assault him on the way, father says they did make numerous advances on him trying to seduce him at every chance they got, but once he kindly and politely refused them, they would always begrudgingly comply making them quite gentlewoman of sorts.
And when they finally got into the penta-region.
Father was treated with a lot of respect by the demi-humans, as they told him his rights cleanly without any threatening gesture and then explained everything to him and what would happen to him.
In short, the way demi-humans made a family with humans wasn’t very different from how humans did it themselves, it was all the same choose the woman to become your wife with the same grade of blessing and make that many children, the only difference here was that the amount of wives one needed at the minimum was 12 instead of 10 and the amount of children was 40 instead of 20.
At the time father already felt his hips ache from the amount of breeding he would need to do, but luckily the authorities said that they would give father plenty amount of time to accomplish his tasks, they would even reward him giving him and his new family a large place to live in and he didn’t even need to do anything as all the work a man is expected to do was done by servants who didn’t need pay but were actually volunteers who wanted father to take notice of them and maybe fill their wombs for a child.
Life as a male in demi-human society seemed great even more when those he would mate with became eternally loyal to him as it was with demi-humans, but unfortunately it wasn’t for father as there were numerous things he couldn’t get used to while being there.
He told me that he didn’t dislike the demi-humans themselves as they were polite and caring bunch, but the way they approached some things irked him so much that he wouldn’t even say what it was.
Plus, father also said that his human male aesthetics didn’t match with the demi-humans, meaning he didn’t find them particularly attractive and even said that some of them were outright hideous to look at.
Now this is where my opinions with the opinions of this world’s people diverge completely.
Attractiveness in my knowledge usually is decided within the culture of that particular place. Since I come from a world where everyone is connected through a place called the internet universal beauty is usually very cut and dry, but in this world since they are at war, are of different species and the roles of males and females are reversed what is considered beauty is quite different from what I think it is.
Lets take my birth mother for example, looking at her face only I would honestly say that she has quite a boring face if you ask me, coupled with her muscular body, sharp facial features that make you want to scream and her hulking figure I am not very inclined to say that she is beautiful or attractive in any way.
Sorry Mother.
But my father loves her and completely thinks she is a quote on “Dashing” woman to behold, in general most males in this world seem to think that way because when I asked my brothers and some other males that I got to know in noble get together’s they all seem to agree that woman like my mother who are the heroic type are extremely “handsome”.
Because males had to get protected by woman for all these centuries now, their way of thinking has completely changed with the way they were treated by woman.
In fact, when I first found out about this, it took quite a bit of time for me swallow as I couldn’t really connect these brutish woman as people who are considered beautiful in this world, I knew that my way of thinking was quite backwards in their society which is why I decided from them on to never make my tastes public to not seem weird.
Thinking about it, since I am talking about what the males of this world consider attractive then I should talk about what they don’t consider attractive and maybe make it even more clear why father disliked the way the demi-humans looked.
I personally had seen a lot of demi-humans before when I once passed by a slave market with my mother and to be honest there was nothing about them to me that seemed hideous as my father described, in fairness they looked quite sexy to me, but then again I am the one who is weird in this world.
In either case, what the people in this world find unattractive is basically what a man in my original world would find attractive, which is soft and clear skin, thin or wide waists, big thighs, big butts or breasts, long legs, high voice, red lips.
All the common stuff.
Woman who have features like these are generally considered less attractive in this world, big breasts and butts especially are seen as a type of weird enunciation that shouldn’t be there, even though bigger breasts usually are seen as more milk for a baby and big butts easier child birth.
But in this world it doesn’t seem to be seen this way.
And the worst offender of all that makes a woman less attractive seems to be long legs of all things.
Being tall is seen as being handsome which is similar to how woman in my world judge men, but long legs are different, I have once heard that woman with long legs are generally seen as more cowardly individuals which is a superstition I guess.
Going back to the demi-humans remember how I said that they are sort of sexy ? You could probably guess now why father didn’t seem to like their looks with his taste or the taste of the world as what most Demi-humans look like is exactly what the males in this world don’t seem to like.
Adding to it are the monster like features on them, I had once seen a panther or cat like woman who was all pitch black from the top to bottom had a tail and ears resembling a cat with amber eyes, a lot of people seemed to be disgusted by this woman which is why no one approached her on the slave market when she was being displayed, but I personally found her fascinating and most of all extremely beautiful as she had meat on all the right place with a huge bust to boot that was hidden from sight.
Her monster like features only served to make her look more exotic then ugly and reminded by of game characters I see in those fantasy games my roommate in university used played when I still studied for my degree.
I personally never played games since I was always busy but now I slightly regret it since if I did play those games maybe I would have been more used to see something like this.
Overall, the monster like traits aren’t really the problem for me, they only make what is already very beautiful into something more unique.
Pure on the other hand are scary creatures, I once saw my mother fight one near the estate, she wielded a great sword at the time and faced off against a purple scaled creature with slimy eyes and 6 legs making horrible shrieks while fighting.
When mother inevitably killed the creature she told me it was a monster called Shrieker.
Shriekers usually are monster that come in packs that use their shrieks to scare and communicate with each other, she shrieker she fought that day was someone who wandered off their pack which is why we didn’t see any more of them.
Telling my father all of this he told me that there even exists a Demi-human variant of that creature that was turned by goddess of chaos into a half-human, knowing this I was terrified of meeting one of them already having met the origin, finding it funny father decided to show me a illustration of what a demi-human variant looked like.
I was prepared for the worst only to be pleasantly surprised as what I seen was a well drawn picture of a 6 armed woman with purple skin and gem like eyes, she looked like a gentle princess from outer space to me and not anything like the monster I had seen before.
Now, ending the topic here.
Why am I talking about all of this ?
Well, it has all to do with the fact that I want a monster or demi-human as a wife.
As it was established before, demi-humans are forever loyal to the first male they mate with, this is actually shown through a collar like tattoo that appears on their neck as soon as you mate with them.
Everyone knows about this, and humans at one point even tried to use this to their advantage only to find out that while the demi-human is loyal to the male human, it doesn’t mean they will do anything you ask them to, love and loyalty are not the same, this event is more seen as a exchange of oaths from the demi-humans part where they swear that they will always protect their mate meaning they can do anything for the sake of this purpose while thinking and doing other stuff as long as it doesn’t contradict with their oath.
Love doesn’t seem to have a place here even though its deceptively alike.
Even the demi-humans view this as not something negative, but something to live by, since males are so rare, finding one and giving your loyalty to is something not many can accomplish and something to proud of once done.
Of course it doesn’t mean that demi-humans can’t love, most demi-humans do in time quickly fall in love with their mate as some books had stated which can cause quite a bit of ruckus if you consider that the combination of the two turns the demi-human in your complete control.
But thats only when there comes a male who will actually like a demi-humans enough to pursue them without being infected by the tastes of the humans.
Some books even state that this distaste for demi-human’s, humans have is something inherent instead of cultural as it seems even males born from demi-human mothers don’t particularly like how demi-humans look, but I wouldn’t how this would even work.
Other books written by theologist argue that its because of the influence of the goddesses that we inherently don’t like how the other looks because of how the goddesses didn’t like the creation of other which seems crazy but believable all things considered.
So what do I want ?
Well, the oath of loyalty is one thing that I want.
But most importantly, I want a connection to the penta region which is what I am really after.
To become a rich businessman, connections were necessary.
