These 7 desires are in culmination known in the world as the 7 deadly sins, each representing a part that everyone is capable of if pushed far enough, it is easy to succumb to such desires and difficult to free yourself from them some learn live with them while others vehemently try to fight them off.
Chastity, Temperance, Charity, Diligence, Patience, Kindness and Humility.
The opposition of the 7 deadly sins these qualities are called the 7 saintly virtues, also representing a part that everyone is capable of if driven far enough the serve to encourage every living being and show them that there is hope in everything no matter how difficult it is.
Angels and Deities.
Living in the far above world of the clouds, the overworld there live 2 kinds of beings whose duty is to protect all goodness that exists and eradicate all evil that is born, the Angels and the Deities.
Born from the faith of Mortals the Deities are godly beings that are capable of shifting the fabric of reality within their own world the overworld, this power while great cannot be used in any other world but the overworld, a Deity can also never leave the overworld lest they risk losing all of their powers and become Mortals themselves, because of this Deities call upon the souls of their deceased followers into their divine kingdom to create what is known as Angels to help them accomplish their duties in the middleworld to eradicate all evil.
Mortals and Cultivators.
Inhabiting the middleworld this plane of existence is the home of all mortal beings, there exist many tribes, societies, clans and associations all ruled by all types of people both human and non-human, out of all of these people there exists a clear cut line of difference that separates the common mortals from the extraordinary.
Capable of wielding fire, walking on water or possessing the strength of a elephant these people are largely known by the world as Cultivators who take in the essence of heaven and earth to strengthen themselves and gain more power.
Demons and Devils.
The incarnation of all that is evil, born in the sea of blood that was created by the evil within the hearts of all Mortals, these creatures live for the purpose of destruction through any means possible.
Just like the middleworld and the overworld the underworld is also separated by 2 groups known as Demons and Devils.
And just like the other two worlds Angels and Deities, Mortals and Cultivators, Demons are considered the lowest within the hierarchy while Devils are considered the top.
There exist many types of Demons and Devils but the crucial thing to keep in mind is that almost all Demons are far more animalistic, intuitive or mindless compared to a Devil which is a full-fletched thinking individual.
But be it as it may all Demons and Devils are at the very core still the same, driven by their nature to destroy anything they see they frequently invade the middleworld to cause chaos and havoc, razing everything they see to ash whilst taking pleasure in the destruction they cause.
Being at the point we are now, you don’t have to make a wild guess to understand what kind of situation the middleworld had found itself in since the beginning of all of this.
Angels, Demons and Devils frequently invade the middleworld for their own purposes fighting it out with each other without ever forming a clear victor, and in the middle Mortals and Cultivators scrambling by to save their meager lives from all of this chaos caused by these two invaders from above and bellow.
Fighting is constant, death and decay continuous, the history of middleworld is the history of war and conflict itself with never a single peaceful period ever recorded.
The middleworld is such a bad place that you could be waving hello to your neighbor yesterday to only realize he had died today by one of the unlucky invasions caused by either the Demons, Devils or Angels.
The inhabitants of the middleworld had frequently tried to distance themselves from all of this conflict that they simply didn’t want to be involved with, but time and time again it proved to be futile as the Demons, Devils and Angels would always show up anywhere where there were large amounts of Mortals or Cultivators, avoidance became impossible and because of this the inhabitants of the middleworld had no other choice but to fight and resist.
Demons and Devils are the most threatening out of all the invaders, the reason being that they don’t care who they kill or destroy as long as they can do it, reasoning with them is almost impossible making it clear that they should be either killed on site or fled from immediately upon discovery.
Angels on the other hand are more tricky then that, normally the inhabitants of the middleworld would think that Angels whose duty is to eradicate all evil and protect goodness would be the foremost candidate of a ally, but they couldn’t be even more wrong, the reason being that while all Angels are tasked to eradicate evil and protect goodness, it doesn’t mean they will only prioritize the Demons and Devils who are at the very nature evil but also Mortals and Cultivators who show signs of evil, anybody seen as evil by the angels will be immediately hunted and killed no matter who they are be it male or female, young or old. The Angels do not possess a sense of pity or even the slightest bit of sympathy they only listen to the orders of their Deities and a select few Mortals that follow that said Deity down in the middleworld also known as Deacons which is the lowest rank of any given church that follows a deity but still capable of ordering a Angel if acknowledged by their respective deity.
It isn’t hard to see by now how the political scene of this world looked like just by listening to how everyone interacted with each other, a huge chunk of the middleworld was ruled by all kinds of Theocracies who were loosely allied with the Angels to protect them as long as the Mortals in that country continued to worship their deity and won’t commit any evil.
While the other half which was not so big was ruled by the Cultivators who took it upon themselves to rely on their own power to protect their people without being restricted by a deity or surveyed by Angels.
To become a Cultivator one needs to have talent for it as well, the talent is decided by birth and cannot changed no matter what, making it so that some Mortals no matter how hard they try can never truly take their fate within their own hands and would always be at the mercy of others.
But things aren’t always that simple either, life always finds a way, and some people did indeed find a way, altering the common Cultivation technique of a Cultivator that allows a Mortal with talent to absorb the essence of heaven and earth into their body, these people changed it so that instead of absorbing the essence of heaven and earth they would instead absorb the essence of what is known as Devil Qi that comes from the underworld or the bodies of Demons and Devils, and then purify it to turn it into something known as True Devil Qi any Mortal could absorb regardless of talent to become a Fake Cultivator.
Also known as a Devil Cultivator.
This cultivation technique was also renamed to match the same Devil Cultivator title which merely added the prefix of “Evil” making it a evil cultivation technique.
When this evil cultivation technique was first ever spread into the world it made incredible headlines and waves around every country as they now had a use for the abundant bodies of Demons or Devils which were mostly useless to Mortals and rarely useful for Cultivators.
With this new cultivation technique now any Mortal could become a Devil Cultivator and maybe even protect themselves.
But the reality was different from dreams, even though the evil cultivation technique did exactly what it said it does turning a ordinary Mortal into a Devil Cultivator there were still loads of complications that weren’t mentioned when the technique became wide spread.
These complications made it so that anybody who haphazardly tried to practice the technique would either become demented which basically means disabled or at worst turn into a Demon or Devil themselves who killed everything it sees.
For some Mortals the energy of a Demon or Devil was still too much to bear even with the evil cultivation technique purifying almost all of the waste to stop something like this to occur, even though talent was not necessary a strong heart and a firm will was still needed when practicing anything intensive such as this.
When this was known the general public immediately stopped haphazardly practicing this technique before it was too late, risking becoming disabled or even worse becoming a Demon or Devil themselves for power was something not everyone could agreed to, even though there were still a few who risked it all for the sake of taking their fate into their own hands.
Most of them died, and only a few survived to become Devil Cultivators, but since being a Devil Cultivator was much different and more uncharted territory compared to being a ordinary cultivator there was much the Devil Cultivators needed to find out themselves if they wanted to get stronger.
These bouts of research spawned even more waves of death as the portion of successful Mortals turned Devil Cultivators started to accidentally killing themselves by going into the wrong path.
Ultimately there were only a few Devil Cultivators who managed to survive by a stroke of luck, with so much death the research that was left behind by those Devil Cultivators who had died was continuously used by their predecessors and refined until they could record everything they knew about this subject with clear clarity.
But even then, after thousands of years Devil Cultivators were still a extremely small population compared to ordinary cultivators.
If put into a number Devil Cultivators comprised only a meager 10 percent out of all the Cultivators that existed.
There were a few notable Devil Cultivators who made it big in the world, but they were few and far between the ordinary Cultivators.
It didn’t help that Devil Cultivators were also largely shunned by the public because of the aura they exuded which was similar to that of a Demon or Devil, this Aura is Toxic to Mortals if breathed in too much forcing most of the people who became Devil Cultivators to become vagabonds lest they risked getting hunted by the general public and other Cultivators who do it for the sake of upholding “order”.
The life of a Devil Cultivator is lonely and full of hardships, in exchange for power the Devil Cultivators risk death everyday and if a Devil Cultivator doesn’t have a strong heart or firm will they are always susceptible to someday turn into a Demon or Devil themselves.
Is such risk worth the power it provides ?
