In the outskirts of Heaven Dou empire was a small village called “Valiant Village” it wasn’t as the name suggested very impressive in fact it was a poor village located next to the sea doing fishing business through generations and selling them in the main market to gain money and they barely survived by the amount they gathered and the citizens mostly fearing the upcoming winter wondering if they would starve or freeze to death.In the most case the reason why the village was to poor was because they weren’t able to produce talented or impressive spirit masters to be able to dote on them becoming misfortunate.

In that very village lived a boy with his weak mother in a small cottage,the boy would go out everyday and do random jobs and tasks given by the villagers in exchange of money the name of the boy was…”Chao Hui my son ! where are you ?” yelled the mother as she slowly started to walk behind her yard which was behind the cottage,because she was weak and couldn’t take much labor she tasked herself to at least grow vegetables and other herbs to keep her family from starving she doted on her son a lot and regret that he wasn’t like any other child going around playing with the other children his age she felt shame that she had to rely on her child even thought she was an adult but at the same time she couldn’t stop him he was stubborn and insisted on helping their poor living conditions by doing odd jobs b himself even thought he was 5 years old.But tomorrow would be the day when he would turn 6 years old and be inspected to see if he has a spirit attribute it was an important day because a representive from the spirit master society would come and take a look so Chao Hui needed to at least look good.

The mother looked around a bit troubled her son would usually come back from the back of the cottage carrying some kind of small animal or fish in the morning but for some reason he took too much time making the parent worried about her child.

“I have come back mother” Shouted Chao Hui as he jumped down a tree slightly startling his mother by doing he landed on the ground gracefully holding a long branch and supporting it onto his should,you could see a lot of fish impaled by the branch on Chao Hui’s shoulder.

“Look Mother i have gathered a lot of fish today we can eat as much as we want i can also make some soup if you want because i had bought a pot yesterday !”

Said the little boy very cheerfully he was small and cute but had a surprisingly lean and rigid statue his skin was jade like clean and smooth and his eyes were a sky blue combined with his short brown hair…you could tell from his appearance that in the future he was going to turn out to be a quite handsome man the mother was proud her sons looks the most and was happy that at least he had that in his future.

“What took you so long little Chao ?” asked the mother a bit relived.

The boy smiled making a cheerful expression as he started to marinade the fish into salt hanging it onto the drier to keep them fresh.

“Mother you won’t believe what happened on the way to the river there was a really big rabbit walking around it had very long ears that were hanging down from its head almost touching the ground it looked really cool so i stayed for a bit and observed it!”

Hearing her little sons story the mother suddenly had a feeling of dread spreading upon her body as she quickly told her son in a scolding manner”Little Chao never got near those animals do you understand ? these beasts are spirit beasts that live in the forest and are dangerous you were lucky it didn’t notice you because most of the spirit beast are hostile so don’t go out into the forest as much and quickly return home understand?”The mother said sharply making the little boy aplogetic as he nodded his head in approval,the boy took the words of his mother to heart and never stepped against it he wanted to keep his mother happy and well so he worked hard for it and did what he could.

The mother also nodded and in the next moment a sweet smile crept onto her face even thought she was worried she couldn’t blame her son for something like that and glad he was okay she loved her son the most in this cruel world and would do anything for him no matter how hard it was she never once considered to blame him or getting dragged down by him.

“Little Chao come inside the cottage after you finish remember tomorrow a representive from the spirit aster society will come and see your spirit altitude you could become a talented spirit master and take a stipend from the spirit master society which is 1 gold coin per month with that you won’t need to stay in this rotten place and become someone huge in the world !”

The mother told her child with hope looking at hao Hui with warmth in her gaze but Chao Hui shook his head for a second and walked towards his mother hugging her while saying.

“Uhnn mother this place isn’t a rotten place it is your home and it is my home it is where my mother lives thats why i will stay and protect mother becoming a spirit master is good but i won’t leave you behind !”

Announced Chao Hui with a face full of determination he was small and naive so he didn’t quite know how cruel the world could be how selfish people could get because he was so pure and young to begin with he only saw his mother in his eyes and nothing else his nature was a determined and stubborn one.

The mother felt warmth and love hearing the her sons words at this moment she wouldn’t regret anything even if she would have died having her son love her so much made her happy but at the same time horror and pain crept into her heart she knew that keeping her son would result in chaos her son needed to leave this place to grow and not be binded from freedom by this old woman.She quickly knelt down with one leg in front of her son caressing his soft and clean cheek while looking at him.

“Listen here Chao Hui i want you to grow strong and willful in the future become a person who everyone looks up to someone everyone can rely on your mother saw your kindness and felt it i am sure you can help more people other then me so become strong so i can be more proud of you as your mother promise me !”

Chao Hui didn’t really understand why his mother wanted him to become strong but he was a good child and nodded his head while smiling as said he never would go against his mothers words and he never did.
